STRASBOURG HOSTS THE 7th EDITION OF THE EXPOBIOGAZ EXHIBITION

SPURRED BY THE SUCCESS OF 2016, EXPOBIOGAZ AGAIN CHOOSES STRASBOURG, centre stage of France's greater northeeastern quadrant, for its 2018 EDITION.

Expobiogaz Strasbourg enjoys a truly strategic location at the centre of the "3-nation Upper-Rhine Metropolitan Region" (2), a buoyant, vibrant region when it comes to renewable energy, especially biogas.

 

 

2050 objectives

  • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80% compared with 2001
  • Reduce primary energy consumption by 35% compared with 2002
  • Cover the whole of the region's electricity and heat production requirements with renewable energy

 

 

 

The GREATER NORTHEAST*, a meta-region at the front-line of the biogas sector

 

IN TERMS OF BIOMETHANE INJECTION (3) :

  • Maximum installed capacity : 300 GWh/year
  • Numer of sites operating : 19 out of 26 in France

 

IN TERMS OF ELECTRICITY PRODUCTION (4) :

  • 37% of france's biogas installations, namely 182 sites
  • 43% of the nation's power output from biogas, namely 166MW
